When it came to having fun, no one did it better than Brian once he met the alien gem, despite her disregard for Andrew when he got hurt. He decided to bring her to his house so they could do even more "fun activities" there compared to back at the skateboard park. This got the little gem rather confused about what's fun there.
"Okay, so what's "fun" about this place? This looks just like a normal dwelling for people like you who live in it." Aquamarine said, seeing nothing fun about it when observing it.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover," Brian started. "Because there is fun in here. I just have to get to it. It's in the living room. I got something you can consider fun." He went to the living room to do just that while Andrew disperses to do something elsewhere.
The gem flew to follow him with her water wings. "And what would that be?" She questioned, seeing him rummage through some shelves to look for something.
"You'll see. Give me a second to find it." He responded back, still focused on finding the game.
Once he found it, he got his old Wii console out of storage and plugged it into the gigantic TV he had in the room. "And here we go! It's a Wii. It's one of the gaming consoles people on Earth play. It's one of the ways we have you know, "fun". Here, take this." He tossed a Wii Remote to her.
She caught it and stared at it for a second. "What do I do with this now?" She asked, pointing to it.
He chuckled. "Boy you're just full of questions aren't you? It's the controller. The controller is that remote. We both get one so we can play the games on the console." Brian explained to her.
"Interesting..." She muttered to herself.
"And if you thought that was interesting, wait till you see some of the wacky games we can play on this one."
He turned on the console using the Wii Remote after turning on the TV and the game turned on and he pressed a random button on his remote so it would turn on.
"Go on, just press a random button on the controller. It'll immediately turn on." Brian instructed her.
"That's all? Well, if it'll turn the controller on." Aquamarine pressed the big front "A" button which turned it on.
Brian reached up high so the Bluetooth could recognize the remote and he could click on the main "window" and click "Start" to start Wii Sports.
"How'd you do that? Get that "hand" to show up on the screen?"
"Easy. All you gotta do is raise your arm up to the Bluetooth so the remote get's recognized and you'll see the hand pop up. You can move the hand around to click options with it. Yours might be a bit faded if you try it cause I'm 1st Player and you're 2nd Player."
After hearing that explanation, she decided to try it for herself and raise up her arm. Surely enough, a hand did appear and was shaky because she was trying to keep her arm raised.
"Do I REALLY have to hold it like this the whole time even during the game? Honestly if I have to, this wouldn't be fun at all. It's rather unbearable "work" then. Not "fun" or enjoyable to me." Aquamarine felt this was the only way to have "fun" on this console and wasn't amused.
"Oh nonono, of course not!" He waved his hands at her, not wanting her to get the wrong idea. "If it were like that, I'd toss my remote away too. But, we're only holding it up to select games and our custom Mii characters to play."
"Phew. For a minute there I wanted to slam this remote to the wall, thinking this gaming system would want to hurt my arm for a second." The gem sighed with relief.
"Hehe, I'd do the same if it was the case. So, you're not alone." Brian nodded with agreement as he picked out the game "Wii Bowling", selecting his Mii. "Select your Mii so I can show you how this game can be fun. Go on!"
There was only 6 custom Miis to pick since Brian has his Mii already picked. She picked hers and the game started shortly after.
"Here, before I start. Why don't I show you how to do this? Without the remote?" He got the remote strap off his wrist and tossed it on the couch, and she did the same.
"It's easy really, if you know how to play bowling. Well in this game, first grip the remote like so, with your dominating arm." Brian gripped the air as if he held the remote.
"The arm I use for my wand? The one that dominates my opponents?"
He nodded with agreement, and saw he do that. "Next bring your arm back as if you were about to take a swing."
Without a word, she did that as so.
"And finally, release!" He gave a good swing as if he played the game.
Once she did that, something suddenly strange happened. A powerful compact waterball formed in her hand upon that release, and it bounced off the TV, couch and then hit the ceiling, surprising them both.
"What the hecK?? Was that a water ball??" Brian questioned, shocked she actually made one.
Aquamarine looks at her hands and couldn't understand how she did that. "I have no idea how I did that! I can make water wings, but... I had NO idea I can water bend like that. Wow. I think I found a new way to have some fun." She responded back, a wide smile appearing on her face.
Just like Peridot, she finally discovered her ability! Waterbending! I would expect that from a Water Gem of course. Era 2 gems normally rely on their weapons like she did too and get shocked when they realize they can spawn certain powers. Now the question for her is, can she perfect it and what will the applications of her powers be? Find out in the next chapter!
