It was a bright sunny day in California and zooming in on sight we could see 2 boys enjoying it at a half-pipe at the park that recently got installed for the skateboarders.
"Okay okay, are you rolling Brian? I can't have any of my fans missing this!" His brother Andrew told Brian, eager to perform his tricks. "You remember what happened last time?"
Brian sighed. This was probably the third time he asked him already. "Yes, I'm recording already on my iPhone and it's held upto you, geez. You can do your tricks Andrew! I remember what happened last time and it won;t happen again, trust me." He called out to him.
"Perfect! Hey fans on YouTube, you gotta check out these moves! Cause they're grand and customized! Andrew styled!" Andrew looked to the far away iPhone camera while saying that.
Just as he did make his way down the half pipe to begin his onslaught of awesome tricks, something got Brian to move the phone to look at something else that was close by. It looked like some sort of blue shaded creature with a "teardrop" stuck to its face and a few shades of blue colored "hair".
"Wow." He quietly spoke, seeing the creature to be rather amazing. "Whatever that is, it's amazing."
Andrew heard that as he completed his set of tricks and looked to Brian. "I heard a wow! Did you get all of that Brian??" He asked, excited about how he looked doing them.
Brian snapped out of it and looked to Andrew. "Huh? What? Oh crap..." He facepalmed with his free hand.
Andrew's eyes widened. "You forgot to record me didn't you?" He asked with fear. "Gaahhh!" He kicked his skateboard down the half-pipe in frustration and climbed down. "Okay, what's going on now? Why'd you forget to record me doing my amazing stunts!?"
Brian then saw the creature about to fly away and saw butterfly water wings coming from her and ignored Andrew. "Wait, don't go!" He urged, running after the alien creature.
She then felt hands gripping her legs just before she took off. "What the?? Unhand me this instant whoever's gripping me!" She snapped, then looking behind to see it was Brian. She was taken aback to see a human didn't want to go.
"Oh, sorry... You just seem so interesting. I was nervous to introduce myself to you and kinda stared." Brian confessed to her, getting up and cleaning off his shirt.
"Well that was really annoying of you to do that. But, I can see you're quite fascinated me as to stop me like that. I'll humor you then, what could you possibly want from me? An enemy taken down?" She asked him.
"Hehe, the only enemies I deal with are bullies from school, but they're not much of an issue. To see an alien with a gem on her face would probably just flat out freak them out." Brian chuckled and imagined that scenario playing out.
"I do love putting fear into my enemies so. But, if not a mission or taking out enemies, what could you want? Humor me with your wants and desires with me. I really have all the time in the world." She said to him, pulling her wand from her hair, fiddling around with it a bit.
"Well..." Brian started off. "What's your name?"
"My name? Can't you tell by my gem? If you don't know your gems, you can be a chump kid." She pointed to it for him.
"I'm no chump, I know my gems left and right, inside and out! I took Advanced Science on rocks and gems in elementary. You're an Aquamarine!" He pointed to it himself, proud to get it right.
She nodded to him getting it right. "How smart, you do know your gems kid. If you didn't, I might have to shake sense into you, quite literally too with this good old wand here. Never failed me yet." Aquamarine was impressed with his knowledge on gems.
"Wait, shake sense into me? What does that wand do?" Brian asked curiously, seeing her fiddle with it in her hand.
"What this?" She showed it off to him. "It can just freeze anything it wants and I can move it around, doing damage to it too. It doesn't matter whether it would be, It can be another gem, inanimate object or whatever I please."
Andrew was watching from the distance and he was dumbfounded and amazed that Brian had the confidence to just go up to an alien like that and manage to engage with her. "Dang he's brave. To just go up to an alien like that and talk to it not knowing what it could do to him." He quietly thought to himself.
"Wow, that's pretty cool! Reminds me of villains who can move things with their mind from television, but you can use and object to do it! You really are amazing already!" He complimented her, wide smile on his face.
She looked confused to see someone actually thinks so positively about her. "I'm amazing?" She asked him. "I don't compliments like this from Homeworld." She mumbled to herself.
"Yeah! I mean, I haven't see anyone like you, so why can't I think that?"
"I don't know. DO you think I know how people like you think on this planet?" She questioned to him.
"Well we're not the most predictable people. But, you can count on knowing that I think you're amazing. Hey, why don't we have some fun Aquamarine?" He winked to her.
She raised an 'eyebrow'. "Fun? You talking about NOT focusing on anything specific like missions or anything involving getting a job done?"
"Yeah! Oh come on, I think you do need to relax or something cause who knows well from this planet where you came from and how long it took and whatever you did." Brian explained, thinking it was a good idea for her to loosen up.
She tapped the wand on her 'chin', thinking about it. "Hmm... I'll take you on your offer. It better not get too pointless or else I'm out."
"Believe me, you won't be disappointed!" Brian assured her.
He decided to take her hand and head back to the half-pipe, cause maybe she could find doing a cool trick on a skateboard could be considered "fun" for her.
